At Pouch.School we believe emotional well-being, self expression and confidence are at the heart of good learning.

That's why we keep our class sizes small and hire teachers that have a deep, intuitive understanding of the emotional needs of children.

Our approach values connection over instruction, and diversity over regiment to ensure that the most nuanced needs and abilities are understood and developed in creative and engaging ways.

Some of the schools where our students have gained places...

Research based, intuitively led...

At Pouch.School we know that working with children means a combination of understanding the statistics, and ignoring them completely. No student is just a score. With the wealth of different cultures, experiences and cognitive profiles we aim to hire teachers with that often come from non-traditional backgrounds and take creative, inspiring approaches to teaching.

"Emotion has a substantial influence on the cognitive processes in humans, including perception, attention, learning, memory, reasoning, and problem solving. Emotion has a particularly strong influence on attention, especially modulating the selectivity of attention as well as motivating action and behavior. This attentional and executive control is intimately linked to learning processes, as intrinsically limited attentional capacities are better focused on relevant information."
